Aluminium Cast Plate / ALUDUR

We supply alloy 5083 aluminium cast plates under our brand Aludur. These plates follow the DIN EN 573-3 norms. We monitor the alloy quality and produce them with very high flatness tolerance.

Aluminium Cast Plate / ALUDUR Sizes

We are able to produce Aludur aluminium plates, at a +/- 0.2 mm tolerance, at the following sizes:

Max. 600 mm in thickness
Max. 2200 mm in width
Max. 4020 mm in length

Aluminium Cast Plate / ALUDUR Specifications

We remove the aluminium’s inner tension through a special heating process. Therefore our aluminium cast plates do not distort during the machining process as the only inner tension left is the tension caused by the machining process.

Alloy 5083

Alloy 5083 is one of the most used alloys. Due to the magnesium and manganese atoms in its structure, it has a high corosion resistance and a high welding capability. Additionally, its’ machinability is also high.

Alloy 5083 aluminium shates and plates are a standard in the shipbuilding industries. They have a very high resistance to corrosion and are resistant to sea water.

5083’s atomic structure is very stable and the alloy has a very low risk of distortion during the machining process.

Alloy 5083 is usually preferred in CNC cutting stations as its’ machinability is very fast and practical.

Alloy 5083 has the highest welding capability of any alloy. Therefore it is a staple of the tanker and silobus industries, where the welding qualities of the aluminium is of utmost importance.

Due to the mangase atoms within alloy 5083, it is very suitable for anodizing.

It is highly sought after in the production of machinery, packaging, fixture and thermoform mold production.
